Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Employee Tracker ("we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you use our mobile application and web dashboard (together, the "Service"). Employee Tracker is a business-to-business employee location verification and project management tool. Accounts are created by your employer's administrator.

Information we collect

• Account info: name, email, role, hashed password.
• Location: precise GPS coordinates collected when you check in or during scheduled background check-ins you have enabled.
• Photos: images you voluntarily attach as evidence when updating project checklist items.
• Device identifiers: the Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token used to deliver push notifications.
• App activity: check-in history, notification acknowledgement status, break requests, and chat messages you send.

Why we collect it

• Verify that you are physically present at the work site your employer assigned to you.
• Deliver presence-check and project notifications from your employer.
• Let your employer's administrator review attendance and project progress.
• Upload project evidence (photos, notes, weather snapshots on blocked items).

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Who we share it with

• Your employer's administrator — the sole audience for your location and activity data.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) — push notification delivery only.
• Google Maps (Google LLC) — renders the map displayed in the app.
• Open-Meteo — receives only the project's lat/lng (not your identity) when a construction task is marked "blocked" so we can record the current weather.

Retention

Location history is automatically deleted after 90 days. Notification, break, evidence, and chat records are retained until you delete your account or your administrator deletes you.

Your rights

• Access and export your data at any time from Settings → Export my data.
• Delete your account and personal data at any time from Settings → Delete my account, or via the web form at /delete-account.
• Disable location and notifications at any time from your device settings — the app will continue to function for manual check-ins.
